Life isn't about how many people you know, what you can attain or other vain pursuits.
It is about opening your heart to love someone,
opening your eyes and hands to the needs of others and
opening your soul to The One who created you.

Life is about growing and changing.
Every day is a new opportunity to stretch yourself and
choose a little better than you did the day before.

There will be mountains of rejoicing and valleys of sorrow
and everyone must walk their own path, no two are the same.
But we are blessed when there are those
who will take us by the hand and walk beside us.

No matter how dark or lonely our walk becomes,
we can look with anticipation and hope
because we are directed and lovingly guided
by the hands of our Heavenly Father through this sacred journey.
And one day, if we prove faithful, we will receive the ultimate reward.

The Story of My Life

Things here have been VERY busy. So many things going on and too many schedules to keep up with. ;) I'm doing "ok". Wish I could say GREAT but I just can't yet. We've had some things that have been an emotional and physical burden but I trust God for all of it. I know it will get better, I am just resting in Him as much as possible. I have felt a tremendous weight lifted off of me in the last 24 hours and I know that this is just an opportunity to be refined. I cannot say it hasn't been painful but God is good and I know I will get through this.

We're still in the beginning stages of some remodeling in our house. Basically painting several common living areas, laying new floors in those areas as well as a few bedrooms (the kids) and TONS of organization and purging. I'm REALLY trying to make life simpler for us all. Less to clean up means less TIME cleaning! We need a better system. I think that feeling so overwhelmed with things here have DEFINITELY played into my mild depression. I can't keep up with everything. Too much to do and not enough time. Then when you are dealing with health issues (PCOS, Adrenal Fatigue, Thyroid disease, etc.) it just begins to be too much TOO fast! Wyatt can trash his room in less that 2 hours. I am SO not kidding. He has FAR too many toys. We are having a garage sale this weekend and I'm hoping to sell a ton of toys and home decor. The high-chair, train table, pack 'n play, etc...it is all going out there. I'm also going through clothing for Wyatt and Macie and only keeping for Jess, the nicest of Wyatt's things. All Jessamy's things will be sold in lots on ebay. While I would love another - we're probably not having anymore babies so I might as well sell them and stop packing them away, right? The only things I just cannot give up yet, are the boys' preemie outfits. I also have Wyatt's coming home outfit that I have to save. It was an Old Navy set that is just SOOOOOO sweet and precious. I can't part with them yet but I think I can let go of everything else. Baby steps... ;)

Baileigh has been involved in a TON of dance the last 3 weeks so I've been driving her all over taking her to classes and such. With all the rain we had and odd temps it hasn't felt much like summer. :(

It looked kinda like rain earlier but it has definitely heated up and while the sun still isn't shining too great, it is definitely warmer outside so I finally gave them the OK. ;)

I have to remember a conversation I heard between Macie and her little friend Jenna. I have to say, I get so cracked up at the conversations these two girls have!! Jenna was telling Macie in our van one day, that she was still looking for houses for them to live in when they grew up. Macie said "You really are?" and Jenna was DEAD serious!! ;D They told me they are going to be "roomies" when they grow up and that Jenna wants to live in Hollywood? lol Macie wasn't so sure when she found out Hollywood is in California and when I mentioned the traffic is really bad out there and it can take hours to get where you want to go Jenna said "That's OK. It won't matter. We'll fly wherever we want in our plane." ;D I love it! They are going to have their own plane because her dad helps build planes. I told them Scott could be their personal pilot since he knows how to fly them. ;) That was just fine by them! ;) I just love memories like this.

We are working in the boy's room tonight to get as many toys out of there as possible. I may throw whatever clothes I have out there too (that I'm not keeping) and then the rest of the week I will need to finish organizing the kids' rooms so we can get someone in to lay the floor. Then, just a few window treatments, new couches and some minor organization and the upstairs will be DONE! Sounds easy but I know it won't be. :- {

The gal that was painting for us was halfway done with our front living area and hurt her back really bad one day at work. She hasn't been here to paint in a few weeks so I know we're going to have to finish it ourselves. I feel bad for her. Her mom lives right down the street from us (8 houses down) and they had to pick her up in an ambulence because she was at her mom's in so much pain. :*(

I am VERY excited about October. It can't arrive soon enough! I'll be in Vegas the 2nd - 6th, NO kids, NO husband...just me and my sis. I'll have a chance to relax, sleep in, no one to wait on, no bottoms to wipe, nothing! I love my family and my kids but right now, I am just living for October! I hate to fly and I have NEVER flown by myself before (I've always been blessed to fly with SOMEONE I know) but I'm willing to do it for the time away. Fortunately both flights just happen to be non-stop. I get in at 7:55am Thursday morning and get home at 12:30 am Tuesday morning so I will REALLY be able to make full use of my long weekend away. My parents are keeping the kids overnight Wednesday through Saturday, until Scott gets off work, and then Monday until Scott gets off. It is going to be SO nice! I can't wait!!!!! I don't think I've been anywhere by myself with no kids or husband since before I had Baileigh! That's over 12 years. Far too long for a much needed respite.
