Life isn't about how many people you know, what you can attain or other vain pursuits.
It is about opening your heart to love someone,
opening your eyes and hands to the needs of others and
opening your soul to The One who created you.

Life is about growing and changing.
Every day is a new opportunity to stretch yourself and
choose a little better than you did the day before.

There will be mountains of rejoicing and valleys of sorrow
and everyone must walk their own path, no two are the same.
But we are blessed when there are those
who will take us by the hand and walk beside us.

No matter how dark or lonely our walk becomes,
we can look with anticipation and hope
because we are directed and lovingly guided
by the hands of our Heavenly Father through this sacred journey.
And one day, if we prove faithful, we will receive the ultimate reward.

My hands are getting antsy :)

I absolutely LOVE to crochet!! I have always wanted to learn to knit but I'm afraid without someone to personally teach me, I may never get the hang of it. I purchased a knitting kit to try and teach myself, and I even bought 'Knitting for Dummies'. While I could get the initial row done, it was doing the second row that started confusing me.

I finally gave it up for now and decided to continue with something I knew how to do. I get frustrated if I spend too much time working on something and have nothing to show for it. ;)

I recently purchased a beautiful crocheted longies pattern from Ladybugz Farms called Morning Glory. I've been wanting to crochet Jessamy some cute wool longies for the Fal, for quite awhile. A friend of a friend knitted some for him last year for Christmas and I LOVED them!! They looked like little cargo pants with a pocket on the side and everything. I picked out brown for the body, pumpkin orange for the trim and a few little areas of olive green. VERY cute! I fell in love with them. I'm dying to crochet some for Wyatt, Jess and Macie for Christmas. I think they would be WONDERFUL to lounge around in. ;) I plan to leave off the scalloping on the waist and bottoms of the legs and I'm going to add a few more chains for width at the bottom. I just love the wide leg look. ;)

I've also been purchasing some more yarn because I need to make up a few cute little baby hats. Some friends have had babies (1 girl, 1 boy) and I need to do something for them. I have a pattern for an adorable little pigtail hat I've done for another friend's daughter and it was SOOOO cute! I think I might attempt a new pattern for the boy's hat and see how that turns out. I just love to try new patterns and with the weather turning warmer...it gives me a great excuse!! I will probably crochet my boys their winter hats this year. Better than those storebought ones. ;)

I wonder what all my crafty friends are working on and what projects they have planned for the cooler months...
