Life isn't about how many people you know, what you can attain or other vain pursuits.
It is about opening your heart to love someone,
opening your eyes and hands to the needs of others and
opening your soul to The One who created you.

Life is about growing and changing.
Every day is a new opportunity to stretch yourself and
choose a little better than you did the day before.

There will be mountains of rejoicing and valleys of sorrow
and everyone must walk their own path, no two are the same.
But we are blessed when there are those
who will take us by the hand and walk beside us.

No matter how dark or lonely our walk becomes,
we can look with anticipation and hope
because we are directed and lovingly guided
by the hands of our Heavenly Father through this sacred journey.
And one day, if we prove faithful, we will receive the ultimate reward.

Seems like only yesterday she was born...

Baileigh got all her books and dvds in last week so I am officially the mom of a Jr. High Student. :*) This is SOOOO weird! It is good to be back in more of a routine though. Dance classes start next week and it is going to be total chaos for awhile with dance classes almost every night (Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs, Sat) but this is Baileigh's 10th year and she's excited for this accomplishment.

Also, in other news, we are awaiting word on what part Baileigh will receive with Indianapolis School of Ballet since she auditioned for their performance of the Nutcracker this December.

The lady who did the auditions asked to speak with me after Baileigh's group was done (10-12 year olds). Baileigh was 1 of 2 12 year olds and both she and the other 12 year old were not from the school. All the 10 and 11 year olds were. Miss. Lyras asked me to step into another room and told me that she had Baileigh stay after the other girls left. She said Bai was "absolutely LOVELY!" and that she would LOVE to have her in her class at ISB. She said she had tremendous potential and had beautiful form. She wanted to place her in an advanced class (included ballet and point) and that she was a great girl. We decided not to place her there this year (she wants to finish out her 10 years with the studio she has been with) but she is interested in attending there next year.

What I didn't know when she pulled me aside, was that Miss. Lyras is the owner and director of ISB. She has a long list of achievements and is very talented. I was pretty honored and proud that she would take note of my girl! ;) This is Baileigh's last year to be considered for the part of Clara, which is what Baileigh has dreamed of dancing for years!!! I would love it if she had something this special to finish out her 10th year. I'm sure we will continue running to the mailbox every day to see if it came yet. ;)
