Life isn't about how many people you know, what you can attain or other vain pursuits.
It is about opening your heart to love someone,
opening your eyes and hands to the needs of others and
opening your soul to The One who created you.

Life is about growing and changing.
Every day is a new opportunity to stretch yourself and
choose a little better than you did the day before.

There will be mountains of rejoicing and valleys of sorrow
and everyone must walk their own path, no two are the same.
But we are blessed when there are those
who will take us by the hand and walk beside us.

No matter how dark or lonely our walk becomes,
we can look with anticipation and hope
because we are directed and lovingly guided
by the hands of our Heavenly Father through this sacred journey.
And one day, if we prove faithful, we will receive the ultimate reward.

It's a Beautiful Life

Forty One. Feels like a big year to me. I have always been enthralled with the fact that I was born in January. I loved that my birthday was just after the New Year. It whispers a fresh beginning with the turn of the calendar. How special that I could not only see a new calendar year ahead of me, but I could live the next birth year alongside it too. It's a little hard to explain but while other people start their birth years scattered through the year, mine runs alongside the start of a new calendar year.

When I was young, I had many birthday parties canceled because of snow. Even when it didn't snow for weeks before, I could usually count on it snowing on my birthday. It was a downside for sure but as an adult, I have come to look forward to it. I call it Celestial Confetti. It's as if God is celebrating my day with me. Today, I was not disappointed! Just look at how beautiful it is!! It snowed off and on while the sun shown bright. It warmed my heart. I had so many sweet birthday messages from friends, family and loved ones wishing me a special day.  I'm one very blessed woman and my heart is so very, very full! How did I get so fortunate? Thank you Lord! This is going to be another beautiful year!!
